We’re Chris and Julia Tunstall, a husband-and-wife team who love the service industry and are dedicated to treating all of our customers like they are our family. Inspired by Chris’ decade of experience as a bartender and bar manager, we created A Bar Above as a bar education site in 2013, growing over the years to add online training, our podcast, and our line of premium barware.

Wendy Colson, RN, IBCLC, began the Boobie* journey in 2011 when she transitioned from working in the hospital to private practice in the San Diego area. Casa Blanca Coffee Roasters opened our flagship coffee shop and roastery in March 2019. Our goal is to create a warm and inviting community space in which we present a quality, elevated experience in an approachable way.

Believe it or not, Trishnna Tea was born because when my husband and I had been craving authentic Indian tea for months and we couldn’t find what we were looking for anywhere in the US without breaking the bank!

Saurabh has been in the States for over a decade now and I moved here in 2015. Being from India, not only did we miss drinking our classic teas, but also found a distinct lack of high-quality organic tea options in the domestic US market.

With the simple objective of offering just that, we co-created Trishnna Tea. And if we were going to do something, we were going to do it right.

So, in addition to using 100% USDA Organic tea, all our products are ethically sourced and single origin. Vessel Candle Studio was founded in 2019 during the COVID-19 pandemic. We began re-evaluating the importance of "appreciating the little things" as the world was currently so turbulent. We found new ways to expand the shop, with a goal keep busy during a bit of uncharted territory.

Candles have always brought owner, Haley Bunting, a sense of joy and nostalgia. She found the process of creating them even more therapeutic as she matched specific scents to specific times in her life.
